I'm baaaack...I hope

Okay, so it's been FOREVER and a day (yes I really used that phrase) since I last posted something on this blog. I'm hoping now that I'm less sleep deprived (notice I said less) that I will be a little more faithful to my blog. Hopefully I will be a little less depressed and whiny as well. Geesh-I just read my last post. Can we say baby blues anyone?

Anyhow things are so different in my life. I'm not working anymore. I am training for the mini marathon. I've already ran this race twice, but this time feels different. I've been running for about a year now. Usually I'm starting from scratch. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing. I feel like I have more aches and pains, and more of a potential to get hurt than in the past. I also have a few friends that are running this year, too. I'm hoping we will all be motivators for each other, and push each other along. Someone to run with? That's a novel idea. We also recently purchased a treadmill so now I can cancel my gym membership that I NEVER use. Whew.

Other things on my mind include my three year old turning four in six days. How did that happen? Also, my baby girl has decided her newest hobby is pulling her hair out. I'm talking bald spots people! Not only is she pulling it out, she is also EATING IT! It's like one of her favorite snacks or something. This is baaaaad! The doctor told me if she keeps it up, she could get a hair ball and have to have surgery to remove it. He recommended a short haircut. So, I finally bit the bullet and took her to get it cut-TWICE! Let's just hope that does the trick because I really do not want to have to shave it. She looks like a little boy, but I prefer to say she has a pixie cut.

All of this hair cutting business has inspired me to get my haircut. That and the fact that my husband has repeatedly told me recently that he prefers it shorter. I am having a hard time finding a cut that I like though. I either like long hair styles (like the one I currently have) or short hairstyles. Nothing in between. That makes this decision a bit difficult. Right now my hair is just at my bra- line if you will. Here is how my mind games work, too. I think to myself, "Maybe if I can't find a cut I like, that is me telling myself I really don't want a change." But, on the other hand, "I'm getting really tired of this long hair, and I can't do anything with it but put it in a ponytail." Ugh, decisions, decisions. They are not my strong point. Okay, so enough drolling on about the hair.

Time to get back to some mommy duties.
