April 2nd Nicky Rotten's, San Diego

Nickey Rottens. This place deserves a post of it's own.  For months now, Jake has been telling us about his favorite burger place in San Diego.  He travels there for work quite often.  We were all looking forward to going there for dinner while on vacation.  Let's just say he forgot to mention that this place looks like a dive bar.  It's themed out in The God Father gangster stuff, and it's basically a bar atmosphere that allows family dining.  I was able to over look the fact that the waitress had a very tight, short get up on because the food was outstanding.

I decided to play it safe for my first visit. I had the "Famous Rottens Burger" which had bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and Rottens sauce oh, and a hamburger patty.

Jake being an old pro at this place, ordered the "Dirty Sanchez Baja Burger" with the tag line "You a gonna have a stach afta dis one."  It was a burger topped with chili, Jalepenos, Onion Ring, Sour Cream, Lettuce, Tomato, and finished with homemade salsa and guac.

Wow-that's a big burger! Sam kept complaining that his jaws hurt from trying to bite into his burger.

Some how we managed to finish most of our burgers. Mia did a stand up job on her huge hotdog, too.
