This week on ToT we are discussing our favorite fall fashion and home decor trends. I came up with this topic at the time when all of the fall decor items were popping up in the stores and the weather was getting cooler. I was so excited to bust out some of my favorite long sleeve tops, scarves and boots. Then I started going through my closet only to find that I had about five of these so called favorite tops. I think I need a little bit of a wardrobe change. Hence the motivation for this topic. So, I'm going to just dive in with some pics of things I think would work well for my wardrobe (and my budget) as a stay at home mom, and also just throw in a few "wants" for my house to decorate for fall. :) I hope you enjoy.

This sweater is from i jeans by buffalo at JcPenney.
|
I love this sweater because I'm really into wearing leggings right now. (Okay if you are one of my close friends-I know what you are thinking. I am such a hypocrite. I used to make so much fun of people that wore leggings. I buckled and bought a pair. They are fabulously comfortable.) I need longer sweaters like these to go with my leggings so I don't feel like my tush is too exposed.

Corded Blazer by from i jeans by buffalo at JcPenney
|
This blazer is the perfect fall color. It would work with so much in my wardrobe, and looks to be a great weight to keep me warm on a cool fall day.
|
JCP long sleeved crew neck T.
|
I think this style of shirt is the best for layering. It would also work well on it's own. I could use a few more of these in colors other than black, white and gray.
|
Jcp Long Sleeve Voile Shirt at JcPenney |
I really like this shirt. It looks like it would layer well under a sweater or work on it's own with a Cami. It comes in all sorts of prints.
|
Call It Spring Hopes Riding Boots at JcPenney |
Love these boots. I have to wear something with a shorter heel when I'm with the kids because I just need that comfort. These look stylish and comfortable. I could see myself wearing these with leggings or jeggings.
|
Call It Spring Majestic Motorcycle Boots in black or cognac at JcPenney |
I think the length of these boots make them so versatile. They could be worn with boot cut pants, leggings, or jeggings. They would also work with a skirt, too. Once again, I like the low cut heel.

FERGALICIOUS Alana at Famous Footwear
|
I really want to get a few pairs of ballet flats that could be dressed up or down. I think the leopard print is pretty popular this season, and I really like these shoes by Fergalicious. I don't know what they look like in person, but I think it would be worth checking out.
|
Chambray Shirt from Old Navy |
I think this shirt looks so soft. I could definitely see it fitting into my wardrobe.
|
Rosetti Cross Body Handbag at Kohl's
|
Oh cute little cross body bag, oh how I wish I could carry thee. Sadly, I'm still carrying around diapers, wipes, and a plethora of mommy paraphernalia that would never fit in this cute purse. It would be a nice bag to carry when I do occasionally go out with out my kiddos.
These are just some of my wants. As you can see, there is a lot from JCPenny. I haven't shopped there in a while, but I think I might have to check it out soon.

Sonoma Life and Style Owl Decor at Kohl's |
For home decor this fall, I'm really loving items that you can find at craft fairs. One of my good friends and I went to a local craft fair this past weekend, and found all sorts of cute and creative items to decorate for all. They were at fantastic prices, too. I feel like I really need to assess what I have before I pack it away before Christmas, and weed out some of the things that are broken or just plain ugly. Most of the stuff I have is from when we first got married. I think it's time to update the fall and Halloween decor. Right now, I love all things owl. I've always kind of had a thing for owls, and right now they are super popular. I don't want to over do it with the owls, but I also think I better buy them now before this trend is over. Here are some cute fall decor items that I've seen.

These kitties are pretty cute, too.

Owl Shaped Lanterns at Pottery Barn |

Decorative Pumpkins with Lights at Pottery Barn |

Harvest Suzani Embroidered Table Runner at Pottery Barn |
Let's not over look Thanksgiving. It's a holiday that can be easily over looked, unless you host it. Then, you have to have some decor out to make your home warm and welcoming. That's why I buy a lot of fall home decor that can serve double duty as Halloween decor and Thanksgiving decor. I have a lot of pumpkins, leaves, and scarecrows that stay out all season long.
Okay, enough. I have to go pick up my daughter now. I could do this for hours. I hope you enjoyed my wish list. Now see what other fall home and fashion trends the other ToT ladies are loving.

I love all of these things, especially the cord blazer. The color would look great on you and it would go with so much!
After some in store browsing, I have to say that I was greatly disappointed in the majority of the clothing items and shoe items I posted about. I did end up getting a few things, but not many of the items I posted about.
