ToT: I'm So Very Thankful

It's so very true.  I actually had to wait a few days to write this post because I was just not in the right frame of mind.  Don't get me wrong, I am not ignorant to how great my life is, and how very blessed I am to live with the luxuries and necessities that others live without on a daily basis.  I think I couldn't write this post because I can often carry around guilt about this instead of thankfulness.  Sometimes I feel guilty about the life I live when there are so many experiencing pain, hunger, poor health and unhappiness.  That may sound pompous, but I assure you, that is not my intention in the least.  Back to the topic at hand: the ToT group is writing about Gratitude.  List 30 things that you take for granted that you have gratitude for-you can elaborate as much or as little on each item. I think I'm just going to list out things.  You can ask questions in my "comments" section if you want me to elaborate.

I am thankful* for:
  1. My good health
  2. The good health of my husband, and children
  3. The good health of my family and friends
  4. I don't have to question where the next meal is coming from, or if I have the money to buy the necessities my family and I need on a daily basis
  5. My incredibly loving and understanding husband
  6. My Children
  7. My family and friends
  8. My faith
  9. My MOMS group at church
  10. My Mom's Day Out Program
  11. School
  12. The physical ability to be able to run whenever my heart desires
  13. Good books
  14. Humor
  15. More specifically funny TV shows that help me escape the stress: such as "The Office and "The Big Bang Theory"
  16. TV Shows that let me escape from the stress "The Vampire Diaries" and "Glee"
  17. TV Shows that make me cry "Parenthood" and "Private Practice"
  18. Great Music
  19. Matchbox 20 just came out with a new CD
  20. No Doubt has new music
  21. Good times spent relaxing with great friends enjoying yummy food
  22. Coffee
  23. Learning how to crochet and creating gifts for those I love using this new creative outlet
  24. Being open to learning new things
  25. Having close friends that I know I can count on no matter what
  26. I only have one more long run before I run my marathon on Oct. 21st
  27. Chocolate  and wine
  28. The vineyard-oh how I love the vineyard.
  29. Laughter
  30. Being able to be silly with my kids and my husband-this is one that I really have to work on.  Unfortunately letting go and being silly is something that just doesn't come naturally to me, but I love, love, love the memories that we create as a family when we are just being goofy.
*I had to lighten some of these up a bit.  I know that there is so much that I'm thankful for-but is it sad that three bullet points on my list had to do with TV?  Oh well.
