Together on Tuesday: Celebrity Interview II

I decided to revisit the celebrity interview topic from Together on Tuesday because I couldn't narrow my celebrity list down.  I also really wanted to interview Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, the producers of the TV series, "The Vampire Diaries."  "TVD" is one of my guilty pleasures.  I admit that I count down the days until each new episode, and become a whiny teenage girl when they decide to skip weeks between episodes.  The show is based on the book series by L.J. Smith.

For those of you who have not seen "TVD" it's about two vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon Salvatore that are in love with the same human woman, Elena Gilbert.  She is in the midst of deciding which brother she is in love with, if not possibly both.  The series also includes story lines involving werewolves, witches, and the occasional ghost. Oh, and of course there are humans. There are plot turns and twists around every corner. Perhaps my favorite part about watching this show, is trying to guess what is coming next, and how they are going to keep this story fresh and original.

  • A lot of fans are interested in this show mainly for the love triangle story line between Elena and the Salvatore brothers. How are you going to keep this story line going with out frustrating the fans? Do you feel the "shippers" will ruin the show? How can you explore other story lines with out making the "shippers" upset?
  • Are we going to see Klaus become one of the show's main characters? Will he ever be able to actually trust anyone?  Is he going to have a true romance with Caroline?
  • I have to admit that Bonnie's character seems to be angry all of the time.  She has really taken some hard hits in this show, and is used as a puppet both by her friends and by the vampires to get what they want. When is she going to say enough? Is she going to possibly leave Mystic Falls to be with some of her other family or call on them for help?
  • Will Elena become strong enough to realize there may be a possibility of human romance out there? Can we see her becoming less dependent on everyone to save her from the dangerous situations she seems to place herself in? How many loved ones does she have to lose?
  • Is Jeremy going to come back? What about Tyler?
  • Will Alaric recover from this split personality put upon him by the ring he wears? Yet another of Elena's guardians has become a victim of some sort of tragedy. Is this a trend that will continue throughout the show. Is this part of some sort of curse on the Doppelganger?
  • Will we see Katherine make an appearance again?
  • Is Meredith's character going to become a larger part of the main storyline?
  • I have not read the books that this series is based on, but do you follow the books closely? Do you get mail from fans of the books asking you to incorporate any missing story lines from the books into the show?
  • Will Elijah make another appearance on the show? Does he have some feelings for Elena other than friendship?

I could go on and on with the questions.  If you don't watch the show, you may not understand all of the questions.  It's not to late to make "The Vampire Diaries" your own guilty pleasure, too.
