I thought so.

So this is exactly what I thought would happen-I would create a blog all for myself (finally, something for myself), and then I would not post anything because life, family, work, what have you would get in the way. Bam! Guess what happened? Exactly that. I've had so many great things I've wanted to write about, vent about, and just plain get off of my chest, too.

So, here is one thing that I was going to write about the day after I initially started this blog, and didn't get a chance to-going to the bathroom. That's right, for those of you that get squeamish at this sort of talk, then you better close the window fast. For those of you that don't know, I'm preggers right now. This is the second time around for me, and I have to say that I was extremely lucky the first time around. I didn't have the usual preggo symptoms that most women have. Well, let me tell you, that is not the case this time around. One thing that I have been battling since I got pregnant is constipation. That's right-I said it, use what ever terminology makes you comfortable. I prefer "backed up." It's no fun. It's painful, uncomfortable, and just unfair to have to deal with on top of everything else pregnancy entails.

Anyhoo, I was going through a "dryspell" the day after I started this blog, and then wham! Magic happened-right in the middle of the work day (hey-I am not a fan of doing business in public restrooms, but you don't fight nature when you are "backed up"). I came out of that bathroom like I had just won a gold metal. I was so freaking happy-how pathetic is that? I couldn't wipe the stupid grin off my face that stretched from ear to ear for hours. It's not like I could exactly announce to my co-workers the reason behind all of this happiness-either, which was difficult because I was pretty excited. I did share the news with my husband who thought it was distgusting that I should damage his ears with such a horrible topic of conversation (this being the same husband that loves to let me know EVERYTIME he has to go do his "business" and then proceed to describe the nature of his "business" to me when it's finished-show off). Oh well. Just be warned, my friends, the next time you see a pregnant woman that has that beautiful pregnancy "glow"-it may be for reasons you don't suspect.

LOVE that post!! I need to figure out how to add you to my feed reader. I'll figure out if it's a setting or something. I need to know when you post new things! I had the same problem when I was pregnant and I would often come out of the bathroom smiling and Chris would know exactly why and congratulate me! Good luck!!!

LOL This is great! Love it. However, in my work place, folks not only announce the when, where and how of most trips to the bathroom, but provide color commentary and a squeeze by squeeze play back. They would definitely appreciate your situation and cheer along with you. Your coworkers just aren't as "interesting" as mine. ;)
