ToT: Laundry List

Random thoughts...I thought listing a bunch of random thoughts would be a pretty easy thing to do because sometimes (read: most of the time) as a stay at home mom with two small kids, my thoughts are  random all of the time.  Anyhow, I find I'm struggling a bit.  This week on ToT we are taking it easy and just making a laundry list of 50 thoughts as they come to us.  Some of the ladies are on vacation, having babies, or just swamped with life in general.  We thought this would be a pretty easy topic.  So, here it goes...

  1. I wonder what sorts of things my son is discovering while on his adventure with Grappa right now.
  2. Is he hungry?
  3. Is he having fun?
  4. I'm glad to have a bit of peace and quiet to write my blog.
  5. Especially since Grandma and Mia just popped in for a visit and she has a dirty diaper.
  6. Glad I'm not having to change it.
  7. Can't wait for the Olympics to start.
  8. I bet Sam will really get into it.
  9. I can't believe he's going to start Kindergarten in less than a month.
  10. Reality is starting to set in.
  11. I'm beginning to wonder how my days are now going to be spent with just my two year old at home.
  12. She will miss her big brother.
  13. I love that my kids seem to really enjoy each other's company.
  14. Sure they have their moments like any kids do, but for the most part, I think they really like each other.
  15. I really hope we get to go to the alpaca farm soon.  They are expecting a bunch of babies this summer.
  16. I think owning an alpaca would be so cool.
  17. I could harvest my own wool from the alpaca, and then spin it into yarn.
  18. Then I could dye it and crochet all kinds of cool stuff.
  19. Um, yeah right.  Like any of that would ever happen.  I barely have time to finish crocheted projects from the yarn I buy at Joann's.
  20. Speaking of, I really need to get on that baby blanket I'm making for Laura.
  21. She is due in August, and I promised I would have it to her before the baby is born.
  22. What if she delivers early?
  23. I only have 21 more squares to finish. Then I have to sew them together and put the border on.
  24. Yikes.
  25. Sometimes there are stories in the news that I just can't shake from my mind.  I'm sure everyone reading this now will know what story I'm speaking of.
  26. Sometimes this world can be a scary place.  I shudder to think of those scared children in such a terrible situation.
  27. It makes me want to shelter my kids from everything bad-and keep them safe at home.
  28. I know that's not possible because that's not really life.
  29. Plus-bad accidents can happen at home...
  30. Not mass shootings. Let's hope and pray.
  31. I agree with fellow ToT blogger Sarah, not everyone needs to have weapons.
  32. I'm so thankful to be in a place where the weather is warm, but still enjoyable.
  33. My kids can play outside with out threat of heat exhaustion.
  34. I'm not taking that for granted.
  35. Wonder what we are having for dinner tonight.
  36. It's such a blessing to have someone else worry about the cooking and cleaning, so I can give all of my attention to my kids.
  37. Sometimes it does make me feel a bit lazy though.
  38. I feel like I should be doing something around the house.
  39. Why is it so hard to relax sometimes?
  40. On the other hand, I have been able to read some great books.
  41. I really enjoyed the "Tyneford House" and "A Vintage Affair."
  42. For some reason I've really been into historical fiction written around the second world war.
  43. I don't know if the next book I'm starting, "Tigers in Red Weather" will be as good.
  44. I know I should be crocheting instead of reading....but I can't help it.
  45. Training for a marathon in the summer is not fun.
  46. Getting up before my kids are awake in order to get a run in with out melting into a puddle on the ground is not fun either.
  47. I do like how it's changing my body shape though.
  48. I feel stronger in a strange sense.
  49. 26.2 miles is a long way.
  50. I think I can, I think I can.
Now check out other random thoughts the from the other ToT ladies, or if you want to join us in blogging, simply leave me a comment.

I love this post! What a great topic idea! Isn't it funny to think back to how you got to a random thought in the first place?

It's hard to let go...Georgia starts Kindergarten Thursday. Like, I have one more day at home with her. I can't believe time has gone so quickly. I'm glad her dad is dropping her off....I'll be a mess between the pregnancy hormones and just missing her, I'm positive I'll be doing the "ugly cry."

I'll totally help you with your wool yarn if you get an alpaca. Careful, they spit! :)
