What a month...er...what a year! I didn't quite finish all of my Christmas projects on time, but I came very close. We had a wonderful holiday season. We were able to see family and friends, and enjoy spending time together as a family. Here are some projects I did get finished on time for Christmas. I will write more later-after I recover from all of the celebrating.

I made two of these cowls using a the Bernat Softee Chunky-Neck Warmer (Crochet) pattern. I chose Bernat Softee Cunky Yarn in wine. I know the button on the bottom looks a little crooked, but it was late at night when I finished the project, and I didn't button it well. |

This is the same pattern and yarn as above, but the color was more of a coral color. I'm not sure what the exact name is, and I don't see it on their website. Love the buttons on this one. I just wish they were slightly bigger. |

I made this hat for my friend's daughter. She is about a year and a half. I found the pattern on Ravelry it was created by Jenni Harrell. The yarn is Lily Sugar 'n Cream in Hot Blue and White. I will post the name of the person that wrote the pattern to give credit where it is due. I just need to find it. |
My next post will have more content and less photos. I feel like I started this blog to write more, and express myself better. It's turned into more of a photo gallery of my budding interest in crafting, sewing, and crochet. A show and tell so to speak. Sometimes I feel like my lack of adult interaction leaves me feeling a bit inadequate when I sit down to write a blog entry. The blank white page just tauntingly stares back at me. I also feel like I'm so used to toddler "speak" that I sometimes don't know how to form complete thoughts and sentences, let alone put them together and type them out for other people to read. Another reason I started this was to exercise my ability to focus my thoughts. I sometimes feel like I don't have time throughout the day to put two thoughts together or reflect on where my life is going, and that needs to change. Sounds like a great New Year's resolution.
