Okay, so this might be TMI, but so what. I finally was able to run outside today. I know that some people think I'm crazy because I run outside when it is so cold, but I prefer running outside instead of on a treadmill. Don't get me wrong-I'm LOVING the convenience of having my own treadmill, but it's still hard on my legs. So, after about a week and a half of running inside due to terrible weather and road conditions, I was finally able to get outside and run. Yipee!
As I started running outside today, I noticed that I was starting to get a giant grundy (my husband calls them this-I call them wedgies). It was sooooooo not cool. For one, it was not in the least bit comfortable. For two, I'm sure it was oh so attractive looking in my purple tights. (Yes, I have purple running tights, and yes, I'm sure they draw a lot of attention). For three, how does one elegantly pick a grundy out of their purple running tight wearing behind while running outside, in the middle of the day, in the middle of the winter? I mean, come on, there is no one out there to distract from me, and my purpleness. So, after about a mile and a half (I was running three miles), I just did it. I couldn't take it anymore. Oh, and of course, there was another brave soul out walking their dog, right when I decided to seek some comfort. At least someone got a good laugh out of the whole situation-or so I hope.
